The Law and Employee/Employer Relationships

It is important to know and understand how Employment Laws affect both the employee and the employer.  In this course, you are provided with an overview of the employment laws that you should be aware of  for your own personal information, in order to ensure compliance and in the event you are required to take personnel actions involving noncompliance with the laws.  Explanations are provided that clarifies what the law says, whom it affects, and what are some of the results of action or inaction in applying the laws.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS?
Any UAB employee may take this class, to ensure understanding of Employment Laws.  All supervisors, managers, and department heads should take this class to ensure compliance with Employment Laws and understand how they relate to some of the UAB policies.
