WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS?
This class is for those interested in brushing up on English writing basics in order to improve their practical writing skills. Renew your study of how to master the English language and become better writers. This class will help students become more confident in writing and speaking in Standard English.

WHAT ARE THE PREREQUSITES?
There are no prerequisites to take this class.

In this class you will:

• Recognize sentences and sentence fragments, as well as the kinds of punctuation that different types of sentences usually contain.
• Refresh yourself in good grammar and spelling concepts.
• Understand the requirements of effective composition that sticks to the main point, flows smoothly, is clearly expressed, and is easy for the reader to understand, and, of course, is interesting.
• Focus on writing which has unity, organization, development, and coherence.
