ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The UAB Dual Career Assistance program (DCA) offers support and resources to help spouses and partners of newly recruited UAB faculty and senior-level administrators. DCA assists by providing CV/resume review, job leads and professional networking within the UAB community. For a fee, DCA can also provide relocation services and professional networking within Birmingham and its surrounding communities.
We are not a job search firm or recruiters. However, this program can provide you with useful information and job search skills that can be helpful in the process of making a successful job transition.
Eligibility
- REFERRAL MUST BE MADE BY THE RECRUITING DEPARTMENT'S DEAN, CHAIR OR DEPARTMENT HEAD to the DCA Program Manager via a referral form. If you have questions, please contact the DCA Program Manager at dcaprogram@uab.edu or 205-996-2543.
- Must be a spouse/partner of a faculty candidate or senior-level administrator candidate who is being recruited into a full-time regular status position at UAB, or
- A spouse/partner of a current full-time regular status faculty member or senior-level administrator who has been recently hired (relocation has occurred within the last two years).
