Scope of service:
The Employee Health Department provides occupationally related health services to hospital employees including, but not limited to, pre- employment physicals, vaccines, tuberculosis (TB) skin tests, orientation and in-service education, also provides evaluation and follow-up for exposures to blood and body fluids.

Definition of practice and role in multidisciplinary care:
We operate in compliance with guidelines established by the Infection Control Committee, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Joint Commission Accredited Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).
Hours of Service Provided:
Regular hours are Monday through Friday 0700-1700. A “Needlestick Team” RN, is on call after hours for evaluation of needle sticks and other exposures to blood or body fluids.
