PATENT AGREEMENT

I know that the Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama, hereinafter called the University, will from time to time enter into contracts, grants, and other agreements sponsored by private concerns and by governmental agencies, federal, state, and local.

In consideration of the University’s agreeing that I be permitted to work on that type of project, I agree without reservation, for myself, my heirs and personal representatives, to report and assign to the University or its nominees all inventions and discoveries which I may invent, discover or originate during my work upon or as a result of my work upon every such project, together with all patent rights and trademarks rights related to said invention or discovery, and that I will cooperate fully with the University, its nominees, and their respective representatives to assert its rights thereon.

I understand and acknowledge that the University has a Patent Policy and that I agree to comply with such policy’s terms. This agreement does not limit my responsibility under the University’s Patent Policy, nor the scope of that policy.
